The Papermint team proudly announces their honorable mentioning award at the "Sundance" for independent gaming, the US based IndieCade Festival.

From October 1st - 4th charming downtown Culver City in L.A. was the navel of the indie game scene. Big names such as Will Wright (SimCity, The Sims, Spore) and Takahashi Keita (Katamari Damacy, Noby Noby Boy) inspired the indie community with constructive talks and mingled with the fresh new creative talent.

Impromptu social gaming during the evenings as well as a big warm sense of community ignited friendships and future global creative collaborations. A distinguished jury praised the excited inalists with prizes which one of them was won by the Avaloop team for their unique social networking experience Papermint.com.

Original Papermint artwork was exhibited at the Wonderful World of Animation Gallery and the extremely sought after Papermint pins were to spot on almost every collar during the festival.

During this week of paying tribute to the independent spirit in gaming the very indie Avaloop motto: "Let's sausage through that!" became famous.

There is so much new stuff in the Neutschland release that we are talking about the actual birth of Papermint. From now on it will only expand.

Players from germany get their own island called "Neutschland", where they can be among themselves before they start to explore the vastness of papermint.

A completely new chat system!

The new system helps players from differnt countrys to communicate with eachother in this big world easily. The channels are now neatly arranged in Tabs to allow you to jump back and forth between them.

New user interface

From now on the Papermint interface is made out of the same material as the 3D world: Paper! And it doesn't just look different, it's also a lot better and easier to use. Unprecedented combinations of outfits, a better structure of the inventory or the new papermint-post-service are just a few examples of the benefits the new user interface comes along with.

Closets!!!

Finally you get the opportunity to store your belongings in closets and flats!! The times of stuffed inventories are over once and for all! For you can enter your closet now and put your stuff in there. You can also furnish them or even put in further closets to create entire livingroom mazes...

 
Invite friends

Inviting friends to papermint will hence be rewarded with 50 mints and the invited friend has nothing else to do but simply play papermint. That would be two € for introducing your friends to the most beautiful and colourful world one could ever imagine.

Cool music acts know that, too! No wonder popular bands choose the unique graphic style of Papermint as an integral part of their video clips!

The first music video clip project the Papermint team feverishly worked on is online! Papermint proudly presents: "Digge Digge" by  Mono&Nikitaman, an edgy reggae band widely known throughout the entire German speaking region. This track is the third single from Mono&Nikitaman's recent album, "Ausser Kontrolle".

This is just the first in a series of cool collaborations between Papermint and great indie music.

On November 20th, this video was presented in a crazy little club in downtown Vienna for the first time.

Papermint and Mono&Nikitaman fans celebrated and danced together until early in the morning. That's how it ought to be :)
